Future Alumni Network of Scranton (FANS) Internship

Position: Vice President, Communications

The University Advancement FANS Intern will be responsible for advancing FANS (Future Alumni Network of Scranton) mission of connecting alumni with current students to foster meaningful connections.

Learning Objectives:

- Gain experience in a variety of areas. o Event planning

o Networking o Social Media ~Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn o Programming - Enhance skills in networking and prospecting within the context of university-alumni relationships.

- Leadership skills.

- Volunteer recruitment

Responsibilities: - Facilitate and lead all FANS meetings and events - Work closely with Staff Liaisons to plan and execute all FANS meetings - Create and implement new events for FANS - Facilitate benchmark research in order to increase FANS member retention.  Actively recruit new FANS members at: o All club fairs o Monthly table sits o Events
