Indraloka Animal Sanctuary provides internship opportunities for high school juniors and seniors, college and graduate students, and non-traditional students in numerous areas. If students are interested in an area aligned with our mission but not included below, we may be able to create additional focal areas. These internships can be for credit or non-credit hours, and may or may not be considered for designated paid hours.
Mission: Indraloka provides “heaven on earth” for farm animals that have nowhere else to turn. We inform, inspire, and empower the community, especially children, on ways in which we can better care for ourselves and the environment while helping animals in need. We advocate for a kind and compassionate lifestyle that protects animals, the earth, and our own health.
Internship positions include:
• Event Planning- Working with Directors of Development and Education for events of all sizes and styles, food and supply ordering and management, space prep, and more
• Nonprofit leadership- Work with our Executive Director, Directors of Development and Education, and support the whole team. This position will include a wide variety of skills and tasks.
• Business and finance- Working closely and contributing directly to the Development Team, event planning
• Marketing and communications/ Public Relations- Working closely with both the Development and Education teams, this position will focus on expanding the population who attend events on site, reaching greater numbers both online and in the community, ongoing media outlets, and social media presence, event planning
• Graphic design and art- Working on outreach as well as programming, content development, film and photography, this individual will have creative freedom and opportunities to contribute as an artist, teacher, and participant in art related programs. This individual will work closely with both the Development and Education teams.
