The Digital and Social Media team at CRS is focused on creative ways to grow our constituency through all available social media platforms.
This internship seeks a current undergraduate or graduate student to obtain work experience within Marketing and Communications, specifically social media. This intern should be a passionate, creative, and dynamic Content Creator to serve on the Social Media team who has strong social media and video skills and has a knowledge of Tik Tok and reels. The Content Creator is responsible for creating energetic, compelling, and on-brand content that advances campaign messaging and strategic priorities within the Mission and Mobilization (M2) Division, specifically around the hunger and climate change campaigns. The Content Creator, writes and produces original content; seeks feedback to ensure consistent tone, voice, grammar, and Catholic identity and supports the mission of M2. This Content Creator will work with the Senior Social Media Strategist in Marketing & Communications and with the Digital Media Specialist in M2 to create video content exclusively for TikTok and Reels.
Primary Function:
Using an intern to create Tik Tok’s and reels for CRS content will allow us to: grow our social media channels in new and exciting ways, target new demographics for acquisition, advocacy, and donation and find new long-term supporters for CRS campaigns.
Job Responsibility:
• Create video content for CRS’ TikTok and Instagram Channels
• Create 1 vertical video for TikTok and Reels a week
• Learn creative and dynamic ways to talk about Climate Change and Hunger from a Catholic perspective in a video format.
• Edit videos per the managers suggestions
• Schedule edited and approved videos for publication
• Manage comments on published videos and moderate where applicable
• Analyze video performance and send weekly reports to supervisors

Basic Qualifications
Experience in using TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter including:
Understanding of writing and creating video content for social media
Experience in Canva, Adobe Photoshop or another design tool
Experience in Premiere Pro or another video editing tool
Actively enrolled in Bachelor’s or Graduate program
Good academic standing
Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask.
Cope well under pressure.
Personal skills and abilities required:
This position requires someone who is comfortable in front of and behind a camera, creative, organized, collaborative, and passionate about the M2 campaign topics. This position may also work with numerous communications and program staff around the country and globe, which requires attention to detail, time zone flexibility for meetings and a team-player attitude.
