This internship opportunity is supported by the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Internship Fund. Students interested in participating in the Small Business Internship Fund must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Be a resident of Lackawanna County currently enrolled in a college or university
Be a currently enrolled student of a Lackawanna County college or university
Be a currently enrolled student of a Chamber member college or university: Clarks Summit University, Fortis Institute, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine, Johnson College, Keystone College, Lackawanna College, Luzerne County Community College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Penn State Scranton, The University of Scranton, Wilkes University.
Logistics:
50 hours estimated
$500 fixed fee (intern is responsible for their own self-employment taxes)
Project must be independently managed and completed by the intern.
Project must be completed within 8 weeks of the start date.
The business will be filling 2 internship positions.
Qualifications:
Marketing, Communications/PR background
Juniors, Seniors, Grad Students
Expertise in social media creation and management
A basic understanding of SEO marketing
Excellent project management skills
Excellent written communication skills
Creative thinker
Self-Motivated
Project:
Students will help V-SCHOOL create engaging content for their education audiences. This will entail researching and then writing two content articles, along with creating social media posts. This content will cause readers to rethink distance learning technologies and empower them to make revolutionary changes in how remote and hybrid learning is delivered.
Project must be completed within 8 weeks of start date and the deadline is February 20th!
